Guildhouse and Country Arts SA are hosting a community event at Wonderground Gallery for artists, arts-lovers and members of the community based in the Barossa and surrounds to come together, connect and network.

The event will feature an informal artist talk with local artists Crista Bradshaw and Janelle Amos sharing their experiences of being regional artists.

Come listen, connect, and share with lived experiences, delicious light snacks and enjoying excellent company – all welcome!

The Intersection Regional Tour program strengthens professional arts practice with remote and regional creatives. Intersection is delivered as a collaboration and partnership between Guildhouse and Country Arts SA with principal support from the Adés Family Foundation.

The Hidden in Plain Sight exhibition is now showing at Adelaide Airport for Anti Poverty Week 2026 💝

Hidden in Plain Sight explores financial hardship, resilience and hope through the eyes of twelve contemporary artists and invites audiences to reconsider what poverty looks like and who experiences it.

Featuring: Abbey Murdoch, Bianca Joanna Buliga, Catherine Fitz-Gerald, Chloe Noble, Emiko Artemis, Gus Clutterbuck, Katherine Grocott, Makeda Duong, Meg Mader, Tabitha Lean, Tieyuan (Vivian) Zhou and Tom Phillips.

Developed through a Community Arts and Cultural Development (CACD) approach and curated by Maz McGann, the exhibition was shaped collaboratively by the participating artists through conversation, reflection and shared creative development. Rather than illustrating a predetermined message, the artists have contributed their own perspectives, stories and artistic responses, resulting in a nuanced exploration of poverty that resists stereotypes and centres lived experience.

Hidden in Plain Sight is presented by Guildhouse and Adelaide Airport with generous support from The Wyatt Trust and will be on display at Adelaide Airport from 12 October 2026 to 29 January 2027.

On AusArt Day, Thursday 22 October 2026, Guildhouse is raising funds to ensure our flagship Catapult Mentorship program continues creating vital opportunities for South Australian visual artists, craft makers and designers.

Catapult offers transformative, paid, artist-led mentorships to artists at any stage of their career. Catapult relies upon philanthropic support, and every donation goes directly to the artists involved.

Emerging artist Kat Korossy was mentored by Kate Kurucz and in her words, the Mentorship became "a pinnacle turning point in my artistic career".

Great opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists!
EOI closes 16 October.

We’re seeking expressions of interest from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists to be considered for future public art on select water infrastructure sites across Kaurna Country.

Artists selected for our panel may be engaged to design and deliver murals that celebrate First Nations culture, connection to Country, water and community. The initiative forms part of our Art on Infrastructure program, which transforms operational assets into meaningful community landmarks.

Delivered in partnership with the Kaurna Yerta Aboriginal Corporation (KYAC), the initiative supports culturally appropriate storytelling while creating opportunities for both established and emerging Aboriginal artists.

When art, science and nature merge 💙 last week we co-presented the sold-out 'Art, Wisdom and W**e: Cyanotypes; Seeds of Nature Photographer of the Year' with South Australian Museum for Nature Festival

In this hands-on workshop artist Ellen Schlobohm shared the history and science behind the cyanotype process – a historical camera-less photography process that results in iconic blue-hued prints. Participants got creative with a range of dried plant materials and paper cut outs to compose their striking artworks. We loved seeing the breadth of creativity on display and the inspired enthusiasm in the room!

Whilst creativity was being unleashed, evolutionary Biologist Professor Mike Lee took guests on exclusive after-hours guided tours of this year’s finalists of the Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year, sharing unique insights into the natural worlds captured in the exhibition.

Two opportunities are available as part of this call out. One mentorship is identified for a South Australian regional artist, supported by Country Arts SA. Each mentorship is valued at $7,000 with funds administered by Guildhouse.
