Event #81 is now complete 🧡🚶‍♀️🏃‍♀️🧡

A massive thank you, to all my Amazing, Superstar volunteers and a big shout out to Benaiah, who volunteered for his very first time today. Thanks for joining the team.

Today, we welcomed many First timers and visitors to Drage Reserve. You braved the coolish weather and the short downpour at the end. ☔️☔️ So well done and hope to see you all back again.
Many Congratulations also, to our next-door neighbor Lochiel parkrun, on having their 11th birthday today. 🎉🎂🎉

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Drage Reserve is officially getting put on the map! 🗺️😆

What a lovely surprise having Racehub Australia join us at Drage Reserve parkrun this morning! 🙌

Racehub is hosting their very first South Australian event tomorrow morning and to top it off, they are using our beautiful Drage Reserve course 💚🌳

What a way to showcase our beautiful little corner of the world, our linear park and that slightly challenging but oh-so-lovely Drage course! 😂

It’s parkrun eve, Yay! 🏃‍♀️🧡
However, atm we have a very sad turnaround and needs someone special to help Turn that frown ☹ upside down 🧡 😊 Could you be its hero…🙌

Then get excited as tomorrow is event #81 🎉 Join us for another Saturday morning of walking, jogging, running, volunteering and plenty of smiles.
And of course… it wouldn’t be the first day of the Royal Show without the prediction of rain! 🌧️😂 But we’re not going to let a little rain dampen our excitement! ☔️🧡

🚨 Drage Reserve parkrun volunteers needed! 🚨
Saturday is creeping closer, which means it’s time to get our Drage Reserve parkrun crew sorted!
We still need a few legends to jump into these roles:
📍 Turnaround Marshal – Stand at the pointy end, cheer everyone on and make sure nobody decides to keep running to Perth! 😂
📱 Static Scanner – We need at least ONE… but a few extra scanners would be VERY welcome. The more scanners, the quicker we get everyone through!
🎟️ Token Sorter – The glamorous post-parkrun career you never knew you wanted. Sit down, sort tokens and bask in the satisfaction of putting everything back where it belongs. 😜
Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or a complete newbie, we’d love to have you on the team.

Well… after yesterday’s Great Drage Reserve Flood of 2026, we can officially report:

🌊 No floods
🌪️ No tsunamis
🐊 Still no crocodiles
☀️ LOTS of sunshine!

What we did have, was a bunch of happy people enjoying a beautiful Saturday morning, getting their parkrun fix and generally doing their thing. 🧡

And a HUGE shout-out to our AMAZING volunteers who turned up in their hi-vis to help make it all happen. You legends! 🧡👏

Thanks to everyone who came along, volunteered, walked, ran, jogged, cheered and supported.
