Last Thursday evening, our OPK9 team were honoured to be part of Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation’s Men’s Meals and Mental Health Dinner event.

As part of the evening, our OPK9 team had the privilege of leading the walk across the footbridge leading to Adelaide Oval, bringing together attendees in a powerful moment of connection, reflection and support.

Events like this highlight the importance of conversations around mental health, breaking down barriers and creating communities where people feel supported and understood.

Through our OPK9 program, we’re proud to train and provide assistance dogs to support Veterans living with PTSD, helping create meaningful connections and improving lives.

Thank you to Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation for including us in such an important evening and for continuing to shine a light on men’s mental health.

The most rewarding part of the job, you know, is that intrinsic satisfaction at the end of the day knowing that you’ve made a difference to someone’s life. I think that’s really rewarding. Seeing Mat smile, seeing Pia’s tail wagging, you know, that is, I guess, the biggest reinforcer for me.” Adrian, Guide Dog Mobility Instructor

We were honoured to join Daronmont Technologies at their Multinational Armaments Resilience Seminar (MARS) cohort event in Mawson Lakes this week, welcoming representatives from partner nations and showcasing Australian innovation.

As part of the visit, we shared the impact of Daronmont’s ongoing support for our OPK9 Assistance Dog Program, which provides life-changing assistance dogs to Veterans.

It was especially meaningful to attend alongside two of our veteran clients and their incredible dogs, a powerful reminder of the real impact behind this partnership.

Thank you, Daronmont, for your continued commitment to supporting veterans.

We're always looking to connect with defence and industry partners who share our commitment to supporting the veteran community.
