🎯 The goal: Complete 3,214 push-ups... or pick an alternative exercise (squats, sit ups, walking etc.) You can also aim for half (1,607).

Sometimes going somewhere new for the first time can be a little overwhelming so we wanted to share with you some of the familiar spaces you might see around when you visit headspace Adelaide🚪

We have a number of private and calm consult rooms, a sensory space, a dynamic activity room for groups and programs as well as a youth friendly clinic room to be seen by a health professional.

You can always chat to your worker about what makes you feel the most comfortable when having a chat and we will always do our best to make sure our space, feels like your space 💚

At headspace Adelaide, we are very privileged to support young people and their families who speak multiple languages, and welcome all cultural backgrounds to access free and confidential wellbeing support 💚

We've put together this how-to guide for young people and their families to access our referral form in their preferred language, and also shared some facts about our service, such as:

✅ anyone between the ages of 12-25 is eligible to refer to headspace Adelaide
✅ appointments at headspace are FREE
✅ you do not need a mental health care plan to access mental health support

Today is National Sorry Day, a day where we remember and acknowledge the strength of Stolen Generations survivors.

We remember the mistreatment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and acknowledge the impact of inter-generational trauma experienced by victims and their families.

Saying sorry is just the beginning of the healing journey. Positive actions matter even more.

We all have a role to play when it comes to the healing process and building relationships and communities that value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, and futures.

On Tuesday the 12th of May, headspace Adelaide attended Underdale High School's Careers and Wellbeing Expo 💚

It was a great opportunity to connect in with students and their families to chat about what supports we can provide, including more about our wonderful multicultural wellbeing team 🙌

Did you know that we have a multicultural wellbeing team? Introducing... Ramla and Jessica! 💐

Ramla (left) is our Multicultural Family Peer Practitioner, who works with both young people and their parents and carers to share lived experience and cultural understanding.

Jessica (right) is our Multicultural Worker, who works one-on-one with young people to help reconnect with their cultural identity and share practical ways to cope with stress or tough situations.
