☕ Cuppa & Chat with Local Community Services

Last Thursday, Christian proudly represented CBS Inc. at the Cuppa & Chat session at Coventry Library in Stirling.

The event brought together the Community Connections Program, Women’s Information Service and CBS Inc. to provide friendly information, practical support and connections to local services.

It was a wonderful opportunity for Christian to meet members of the community, answer questions and share how CBS Inc. supports people with disability to achieve their goals, build independence and participate in their community.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by for a cuppa and a conversation, and to the organisers for creating such a welcoming and accessible community event.

🌟 Good News Story: Celebrating Nat! 🌟

Five years ago, Nat was a CBS Inc. Southern client. Today, she is a valued and trusted member of our Claims Team - what a fantastic journey!

Nat consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic, reliability and a genuine commitment to getting the job done. She approaches every task with professionalism, ensuring it is completed thoroughly and on time.

Her willingness to go above and beyond, including supporting our Corporate Services Team, is greatly appreciated. Nat’s positive, can-do attitude has made a meaningful contribution across both teams.

Over the past five years, Nat has earned the trust and respect of her colleagues through her honesty, dedication and consistent effort. When Nat is at work, we know she will always give 100%.

On top of that, Nat is currently the only team member from the Claims team who has won a Golden Heart Award.
This makes it an even more special and exclusive achievement, and a wonderful recognition of the amazing work, dedication and contribution she has made to the team and to CBS Inc.
Well deserved, Nat!

Thank you, Nat, for everything you do behind the scenes. Your dedication, reliability and positive attitude make you an invaluable part of the CBS Inc. team. We are incredibly proud of how far you have come and look forward to seeing you continue to thrive! 💙

🪩 What an incredible first Inclusive Dancefloor Glandore!
Last Thursday, CBS Inc. proudly partnered with the City of Marion to host our Inclusive Dancefloor at the Glandore Community Centre Marion Community Centres. More than 130 community guests attended, including people supported by CBS Inc. and representatives from more than 10 organisations.
The room was filled with music, dancing, laughter and new connections. It was wonderful to see people of all abilities coming together to express themselves, socialise and celebrate inclusion in a safe, welcoming and supportive environment.
Free community events like the Inclusive Dancefloor are incredibly important. Removing the cost to attend makes the event more accessible and gives everyone the opportunity to participate, regardless of their financial circumstances. These events can help reduce social isolation, build confidence and create a stronger sense of connection and belonging.
They also provide an opportunity for people, families, support workers, service providers and community organisations to meet, build relationships and learn more about the support available in their local community. Most importantly, they create a space where everyone is welcomed, respected and encouraged to be themselves.
This event was a fantastic example of what we can achieve when community organisations, local government, staff and community members work together.
A heartfelt thank you to the City of Marion, the Glandore Community Centre, participating organisations, our dedicated CBS Inc. team and everyone who helped organise, support and attend this very special event. Your support made the day a wonderful success!
We still have two more exciting inclusive events coming this year:
🪩 22 October – Inclusive Dancefloor at Glandore
💃 3 December – International Day of People with Disability Ball
Both events are free, but spaces are limited—so make sure you book your ticket before they run out! More information about the December Ball will be shared soon.
