It was a delight to meet with the Hon. Julian Hill MP, Assistant Minister for Citizenship, Customs and Multicultural Affairs, alongside members of the MCCSA community.

We had a valuable conversation about the challenges multicultural communities are facing across South Australia, sharing perspectives, experiences and the issues that matter most to our communities.

These conversations are an important opportunity to ensure the voices of South Australia’s culturally and linguistically diverse communities are heard and reflected in the decisions that affect them.

Thank you to the Assistant Minister for taking the time to listen, engage and connect with our community.

Happy Father’s Day! 💕

Look what our little ones made for Dad!

At this week’s MCCSA Multicultural Playgroup, the children enjoyed exploring sensory play and creating a special sensory Father’s Day card for their dads. 🎨

It was wonderful to see little hands busy squishing, sticking, exploring and creating a handmade surprise to take home and share with Dad.

Wishing all the wonderful dads, grandads and father figures a very Happy Father’s Day! We hope you have a lovely day filled with love, laughter and special moments with your little ones. 🥰

Interested in joining our playgroup? Feel free to contact us for more information.

Vietnamese-Speaking Volunteers Wanted
Do you speak Vietnamese? Would you like to support an older person in your community?

MCCSA is looking for Vietnamese-speaking volunteers to visit older Vietnamese people who live in Oakden through the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS).

What would you do?
• Visit an older person for about 1 hour every 2 weeks
• Have a friendly chat in Vietnamese
• Share stories, memories and everyday conversations
• Build a regular friendship and connection

Why volunteer?
For many older people, speaking their own language can help them feel connected, comfortable and less lonely. Your visit could make their day a little brighter. 💛

No special experience is needed — just your time, kindness and Vietnamese language.
