With the school holidays wrapping up today, it's a great opportunity to get out and support the local businesses that help make our community unique.

From local shops and cafés to markets and family-run businesses, every visit helps support the people who live and work alongside us. It's also a great way to get to know your neighbours and strengthen the community connections that help keep our neighbourhoods vibrant and safe.

Together, we can build stronger, more connected communities by choosing to shop local.

As many of us head away or spend extra time out and about this long weekend, it's the perfect time to think about home security and looking out for one another.
Before you leave:
✅ Lock all doors and windows
✅ Secure valuables out of sight
✅ Arrange for mail to be collected
✅ Leave a light on or use timers
✅ Let a trusted neighbour know you'll be away
Keep an eye out for unusual activity and report suspicious behaviour to police. By working together, we can help make this long weekend a safe and enjoyable one for everyone.

A simple bunch of sweet peas and a thoughtful gesture. 🌸

When Kirsty walked past a neighbour's house, an older gentleman stopped to cut her some sweet peas from his garden. It's these small acts of kindness that help make our neighbourhoods feel connected and welcoming.

What's something kind a neighbour has done for you?
