This week at Eagle's Nest Ministries, we were privileged to be ministered to by visiting pastor Quven Williams, who brought a timely and powerful message for Youth Month on the importance of staying connected.

Drawing from Jesus' words, "Remain in Me, as I remain in you" (John 15:4), he reminded us that we were never created to do life alone and that Kingdom life flows from connection.

Three key truths stood out:

Connected to the King
Our greatest strength is found in remaining connected to Jesus, the True Vine. Talent and ability can never replace relationship with Christ.

Connected to His People
God designed us for community. Spiritual fire fades in isolation, but we grow, are discipled, and advance together through healthy relationships and mentorship.

Connected to the Mission of Jesus
We are not saved simply for ourselves. As followers of Christ, we are called to make disciples and advance His Kingdom. The question is not, "What do I want?" but rather, "What does the King want?"

As we celebrate Youth Month, may we be a generation that is firmly connected to the King, committed to His people, and passionate about His mission.

SUNDAY REFLECTION

This morning, Apostle Jan Horne ministered from Jeremiah 51:20:

"You are My battle axe and weapons of war..."

The message reminded us that every believer is called to be a weapon in God's hand. Our purpose is not limited to the pulpit; God desires to use people in every sphere of society to advance His Kingdom.

Drawing from 1 Samuel, we were reminded that at one point only Saul and Jonathan had swords, while the rest of Israel had to go to the Philistines to sharpen their tools. This serves as a powerful picture of the Church today. God's desire is not for only a few believers to be equipped and effective, but for the entire Body of Christ to be sharpened, equipped, and ready for service.

This is why Christ gave the five-fold ministry—apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers (Ephesians 4:11-13). Their role is to equip the saints, sharpen believers, and prepare them for the work of ministry until we all come to maturity in Christ.

Like a weapon forged by a skilled blacksmith, God shapes His people through teaching, discipleship, correction, and refinement. The fire is not meant to destroy us but to prepare us. As Malachi 3 reminds us, the Refiner continues His work until His image is reflected in us.

As we gathered around the Table of the Lord, we were reminded of Jesus' words in Luke 22. He eagerly desired to share that meal with His disciples. The table is a place of covenant, fellowship, preparation, and instruction.

Before God sends His people into battle, He first calls them to His table.

At His table we receive identity, direction, wisdom, and strategy. We learn that we are His battle axe, but we also learn how and where He wants us to be used. A weapon without purpose is dangerous, but a weapon in the Master's hand becomes effective for His Kingdom.

May we continue to come to His table, receive His instructions, submit to His refining process, and allow ourselves to be sharpened for the work He has called us to do.

"Lord, make us mature, effective, and ready for every good work."
