We are happy to see some of our fruit trees bearing fruits 🍊 including our strawberry patch🍓

Fruit trees take time to mature, usually starting to bear fruit anywhere from 1 to 7 years after planting depending on the species.

Time Until First Harvest
Citrus and Fig: 1 to 2 years
Peach, Nectarine, and Apricot: 2 to 4 years
Apple and Pear: 2 to 6 years
Sweet Cherry: 4 to 7 years

On the 1st and 2nd of June 2026, our learners had the opportunity to visit Strucktek Farm for an insightful and engaging practical training session.

The visit provided valuable hands-on exposure to modern agricultural practices, with a particular focus on hydroponic production systems. Learners explored various aspects of hydroponics, including growing media, nutrient management, propagation techniques, irrigation systems, crop establishment, plant health, and sustainable water-use practices.

This practical experience allowed learners to connect classroom theory with real-world agricultural applications, deepening their understanding of innovative farming methods that contribute to food security and sustainable crop production.
