The Zambia U18 Baseball5 National Team made history by qualifying for the first-ever WBSC Youth Baseball5 World Cup, held in Ankara, Türkiye, in October 2023. This marked Zambia's first appearance at the highest level of international Youth Baseball5 competition.
The qualification came after Zambia's impressive performance at the inaugural African Youth Baseball5 Championship, earning the nation a place among the world's best young Baseball5 teams.
This achievement placed Zambia on the global Baseball5 map and highlighted the rapid growth of the sport since its introduction in the country in 2019.
