Wednesday night, our mini horse Mabel gave birth to a baby boy! 🐴💙

This is a Critter Barn first, and we are so overjoyed to welcome this little guy to the farm. Mom and baby are doing great, and we just can’t get enough of the cuteness!

Now we need your help… we’re looking for name suggestions for our newest farm friend! What should we name this sweet little man that goes well with Mabel? Drop your ideas in the comments 👇

It’s always a joy to have these students from Holland Christian Schools here at the farm! 🐐🐖🐰

Students from Mrs. Bos’ kindergarten class get to visit Critter Barn every other week throughout the entire school year, experiencing life on the farm through all the different seasons. From snowy winter chores to springtime babies, these students have had the opportunity to learn hands-on about animals, farming, and where food comes from in a truly special way.

We loved celebrating all they’ve learned during their Celebration of Learning day alongside their families. Thank you to the students, teachers, and parents for such a fun year at the farm! ❤️

Yesterday, our Critter Crew headed to Allendale for our May monthly field trip and had the opportunity to visit Hi-Tech Dairy Supply! 🐄🥛🚜

Hi-Tech is West Michigan’s leader in the service and installation of dairy milking and cooling equipment. From chemicals and supplies, to rotary parlors and milking robots, they help provide dairy farmers with the tools and support they need to keep their operations running smoothly — including our goat milking parlor here at Critter Barn! 🐐

A huge thank you to Chad for taking the time to show us around, explain the history of the company, share what goes into their work each day, and introduce our Critter Crew members to the many career opportunities available in the dairy industry!

We appreciate the opportunity to learn from your team and experience another side of agriculture in action!

Yesterday was a big day of projects getting completed around the farm! Thanks to the Michigan West Coast Chamber of Commerce's Community Impact Day, we welcomed around 30 volunteers who helped clean the barn, tear down old fencing, and tackle some bigger projects around the farm.

We are so grateful for everyone who took time out of their day to help make a difference here at the farm! 🐐🚜

Thank you to the Michigan West Coast Chamber of Commerce for including us in Community Impact Day! Our team was proud to roll up our sleeves and serve at Critter Barn and Compassionate Heart Ministries . It’s always rewarding to give back alongside such a great community!

Yesterday, six of Critter Barn's 4-H Club Members competed in the Michigan 4-H Meats Judging State Contest at Michigan State University! 🥩🍖🥓

This contest challenges participants to evaluate beef and pork carcasses, wholesale and retail cuts, determine yield and quality grades on beef, answer complex questions, and deliver a set of oral reasons to a judge.

We're so proud of their hard work, dedication, and growing knowledge of agriculture 👏
