🎉 The final stop on the FirstCap Gives Back Foundation Inaugural Grant Tour with First Capital Federal Credit Union brought us to one of our valued community partners, The Arc of York and Adams Counties!

This year, we were honored to serve as a sponsor of The Arc Ball & Auction, and we are proud to continue our partnership with a $1,000 grant award to support camper-ship scholarships for children and individuals attending Camp Pennwood this summer.

For decades, The Arc of York County has been dedicated to empowering people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and supporting their families through advocacy, resources, and life-enriching opportunities. Camp Pennwood provides campers with the chance to build friendships, gain confidence, create lasting memories, and experience the joy of summer camp in an inclusive and supportive environment.

Our commitment doesn't stop there. Through our FirstCap Gives Back Foundation candy bar fundraiser, we will contribute an additional $1,000 toward camper-ship scholarships, doubling our impact and helping even more campers experience all that Camp Pennwood has to offer.

We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with The Arc of York County, not only as our 2026 Second Quarter FirstCap Gives Back partner, but as an organization that continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of so many throughout our community.

The FirstCap Gives Back Foundation Inaugural Grant Tour with First Capital Federal Credit Union continued with a truly unique stop as we surprised our fourth grant recipient, Prospect Hill Cemetery and Cremation Gardens with a $3,000 grant award!

As the oldest cemetery in York County, Prospect Hill Cemetery is more than a resting place, it's a living piece of our community's history. The grounds are home to generations of York County residents, including veterans who served in every war throughout American history.

We were honored to support the purchase of a gas-powered golf cart that will help make historical tours of the cemetery more accessible, allowing even more visitors to experience the stories, sacrifices, and legacies preserved within its gates.

At FirstCap Gives Back Foundation, we believe that investing in our community means not only supporting its future, but also preserving its past. By helping Prospect Hill Cemetery expand its educational and historical tour program, we are proud to play a small role in ensuring that York County's rich history continues to be shared for generations to come.

The FirstCap Gives Back Foundation Inaugural Grant Tour with First Capital Federal Credit Union made its next stop at Bell Socialization Services, Inc. in York, where we were proud to surprise their team with a $2,000 grant award to support their food program for families staying in their shelter.

At Bell Socialization Services, the mission goes beyond providing shelter; it's about restoring dignity, stability, and hope for individuals and families facing difficult circumstances.

Through compassionate support and essential services, Bell works to help those experiencing housing insecurity build a path toward self-sufficiency and a brighter future. A critical part of that support is ensuring families have access to nutritious meals during times of crisis.

The FirstCap Gives Back Foundation is honored to support Bell's food program, helping provide meals to families when they need them most. Because when basic needs are met, families can focus on healing, rebuilding, and moving forward.

🎉 Our FirstCap Gives Back Foundation Inaugural Grant Tour with First Capital Federal Credit Union continued with another incredible stop as we surprised our second grant recipient, 18 South Youth Center in Red Lion, with a $2,000 grant award!

At 18 South, teenagers aren't just given a place to go, they're given a place to belong.

Dedicated to serving students in grades 7-12, 18 South provides a safe, supportive environment where young people can build healthy relationships, connect with caring mentors, develop life skills, and access resources that promote personal, emotional, social, and educational growth.

Open five days a week, the center meets teens where they are, regardless of their background or circumstances, creating opportunities for them to thrive while fostering a sense of community, purpose, and hope.

The FirstCap Gives Back Foundation is proud to support 18 South's mission and invest in programs and activities that positively impact at-risk youth throughout our community.

🎉🏡 The FirstCap Gives Back Foundation Inaugural Grant Tour with First Capital Federal Credit Union took place on Friday. We were incredibly grateful to receive so many inspiring grant applications from nonprofit organizations across York County. After reviewing the outstanding work being done throughout our community, we were proud to award grants to FIVE deserving organizations making a meaningful difference right here at home.

Our first stop York Habitat for Humanity!

We were honored to support their request for essential safety equipment that will help protect staff and volunteers as they work tirelessly on build sites throughout our community. Every piece of protective equipment helps ensure that those giving their time and talents can continue building something truly life-changing... safe, affordable housing for local families.

York Habitat for Humanity does more than build houses, they help build stability, opportunity, and hope. Their commitment to creating affordable homeownership opportunities strengthens neighborhoods and transforms lives across York County.

Yesterday was all about celebrating what makes each of us unique 💙🌈

Our team at First Capital Federal Credit Union showed their support for our 2nd quarter FirstCap Gives Back Foundation partner, The Arc of York and Adams Counties by wearing tie-dye, fun patterns and bright colors for “Different is Beautiful Day.”

Employees made donations to participate, helping support The Arc’s mission of empowering and advocating for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

A colorful day for a great cause and an even greater community.

We’re excited to announce the organizations who received a matching donation from First Capital Federal Credit Union during Give Local York 2026! 🎉

Thanks to the generosity and commitment of First Capital Federal Credit Union, participating Preferred Business Partners had an even greater opportunity to maximize their impact during Give Local York. During the 7 AM hour, eligible nonprofits received matching donations up to $500 until the matching pool was depleted.
