⛳💙 More Than Golf. Building Confidence, Character, and Future Leaders! 🌟

A huge THANK YOU to Mollie Thula from First Tee - Central Washington for joining us as our recent guest presenter!

First Tee is doing some incredible work in our community, using the game of golf to help kids and teens develop important life skills like confidence, resilience, leadership, and character. ⛳

Serving youth ages 5–18 throughout the Yakima and Wenatchee Valleys, their programs go beyond the golf course, helping young people build skills they can carry into school, friendships, and everyday life. 💙

We love learning about organizations that share our passion for supporting youth and creating opportunities for the next generation.

A huge THANK YOU to Tressa Lucas, Foundation Director at Perry Technical Institute, for joining us as our recent Kiwanis program presenter!

Tressa shared some exciting updates about Perry Tech, including its 13 hands-on training programs across its Yakima and Sunnyside campuses, impressive 87% graduation rate, and 92% employment rate! 👏

We also learned about the Legacy of Excellence campaign and plans for a new electrical technology building, which will expand opportunities for students and help prepare the next generation of skilled professionals.

We are grateful for opportunities like these to learn more about the organizations making a difference in our community. Thank you, Tressa, for sharing your time and insights with us! 💙

🌱 From Roots to Wings: Inspiring the Next Generation! 🩺💙

A huge THANK YOU to Debbie Helgard from Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) for joining us and sharing the incredible work being done through the Roots to Wings youth program!

Founded in 2013, Roots to Wings connects middle and high school students interested in medical careers with university medical students who serve as mentors.

With approximately 200 students participating from schools throughout the Yakima Valley, this program provides hands-on learning experiences, from practicing ultrasounds and medical exams to exploring college and career opportunities. 🩺🎓

Programs like Roots to Wings help open doors, build confidence, and inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals. We love learning about the organizations and individuals making a difference for youth in our community!

🎡 Giving Back to Those Who Served!
Recently, our Kiwanis Club had the wonderful opportunity to volunteer at the fair, helping collect donations to support our veterans!

Fairgoers who brought three new items to donate received admission to the fair in return. It was a great way to bring our community together for a meaningful cause! 💙

A huge THANK YOU to State Fair Park for allowing us to be part of this wonderful event and to everyone in our community who showed up with donations and generous hearts!

We are grateful for every opportunity to serve alongside our community and make a difference. After all, that's what Kiwanis is all about—serving others and giving back! ❤️

💙 Cheers to a Wonderful Kiwanis Year! 💙
As our Kiwanis year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank the incredible individuals who have helped make this year special.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our Club President, Freba Afzali, for her leadership, dedication, and commitment to the betterment of our club. Your time and efforts have not gone unnoticed, and we are so grateful for all you've done!

A special thank you to our honorary member, Jessa Sutherland, for giving our club a place to call home at 5th Line Brewery. We appreciate your generosity and hospitality!
