🎉 Congratulations to Our Mentor on an Incredible Achievement! 🎉

We are proud to recognize one of our dedicated program mentors, Eddy Hernandez, for being named Rookie of the Year by the Yakima Police Department!

This award reflects not only outstanding performance in law enforcement, but also the character, integrity, and commitment they demonstrate every day both in uniform and as a mentor to local youth.

What makes this recognition especially meaningful is Eddy’s selflessness. Whether serving the community, supporting young people through our mentoring program, or stepping up whenever help is needed, Eddy consistently put others before himself. Big congratulations to the students at Adams Elementary! 🏆 Through the Safe Yakima Positive Ticketing program, we are celebrating a massive 35% reduction in missed school days, with average absences dropping from 31.5 to 20.66 days per student!

From scooters to science kits, these students earned incredible rewards for showing up consistently and building positive connections with local law enforcement. Way to go, Bulldogs! 🐾✨
