Today, Yakima Town Hall closed out its 2025–26 season with an hour that felt like a masterclass in storytelling.

The bestselling author of The Devil in the White City, The Splendid and the Vile, and The Demon of Unrest was engaging, witty, and left more than a few of us with a longer reading list.

A few moments from the day: Erik pointing to his photo on our marquee banner, his signature added to The Capitol Theatre’s Wall of Fame, time with our Yakima Town Hall board, and a conversation with Tammy Ayer of the Yakima Herald-Republic.

Two days. That’s all that stands between Yakima and one of the most extraordinary humans on the planet.
Ben Saunders has skied solo to both poles. Logged 4,500+ miles on foot in polar regions. Delivered TED Talks watched by millions. On Wednesday, March 18 at 11:00 a.m., he brings all of it to our stage.
Watch his personal message to Yakima. We cannot wait for Wednesday!
