A small update to our 2026–27 season: we've adjusted the speaker order, with Drew Bledsoe now opening the season and Brooke Shields closing it out. Same four speakers, same dates — just a different sequence.

This fall: Drew Bledsoe opens the season on September 23 — the Super Bowl-winning quarterback turned Walla Walla vintner behind Doubleback and Bledsoe Family Winery. Then on October 14, Kate Andersen Brower takes the stage — the New York Times bestselling author of The Residence, who most recently co-authored We the Women with CBS News' Norah O'Donnell, a past Yakima Town Hall speaker.
This spring: Albert Lin, the National Geographic Explorer known for using cutting-edge technology to uncover lost cities, speaks on March 24. Brooke Shields closes out the season on April 21 — actress, author, and current star of Acorn TV's You're Killing Me.

Today, Yakima Town Hall closed out its 2025–26 season with an hour that felt like a masterclass in storytelling.

The bestselling author of The Devil in the White City, The Splendid and the Vile, and The Demon of Unrest was engaging, witty, and left more than a few of us with a longer reading list.

A few moments from the day: Erik pointing to his photo on our marquee banner, his signature added to The Capitol Theatre’s Wall of Fame, time with our Yakima Town Hall board, and a conversation with Tammy Ayer of the Yakima Herald-Republic.
