Q: What would you like to share about your heritage/culture with others?
“What I would like to share about our culture is that we come from a line of hard working resilient generations. We come from dreamers and visionaries and innovators. From our parents we learned to work hard for what we want and need in life, we learned to never give up and to fight for our dreams. In times of adversity and oppression, we continue to thrive and succeed, breaking down barriers and challenges we may face. Our culture and heritage has had and continues to have a long reputation of overcoming and resilience, paving the way for the generations to come. From restaurants, to hair salons to auto shops, to holding influential positions in large corporations. From earning degrees to building empires, to obtaining promotions, our people continue to shine in their communities. I am proud to be a part of such a fierce and strong culture.”

Q: What would you like to share about your heritage/culture with others?
“What I would like to share about my heritage is the deep sense of pride, resilience, and community that comes from being part of the Latino culture. Our traditions remind us of the value of hard work, faith, and family, the roots that keep us grounded no matter where life takes us. I want others to see that our culture is full of warmth, strength, and generosity, and that we continue to thrive because we lift one another up. Sharing our heritage is not just about celebration, but about reminding others that representation matters and that our voices and stories belong everywhere decisions are being made.”
