📚🎒 FREE BACKPACKS & SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR MILITARY FAMILIES!

The Washington National Guard Military & Family Readiness Program is hosting the 2026 Yakima Backpack Resource Event to help military families get ready for the new school year!

📅 When: Saturday, August 1 & Sunday, August 2, 2026
🕘 Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
📍 Where: 2501 Airport Lane, Yakima, WA 98903

🎒 What's Available?
✅ Free backpacks
✅ School supplies
✅ Military family resources
✅ Community support services

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Who Can Attend?
This event is open to all Active Duty, National Guard, Reserve, Veterans, and their families.

💲 No Cost!
Backpacks and supplies will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

Help us spread the word by sharing this post with military families who could benefit from this event. Together, we can help ensure every child starts the school year prepared for success!

Great event for Veterans and their families.

We are excited to be out at the Yakima Training Center on Sunday. The show is open to the public. Come visit all the great vendors, including us! 😊

🎣 Trout Fishing Event for Veterans & Families! 🎣

Join us for a fun and relaxing morning of trout fishing this Saturday, May 30th at Tims Pond (Hwy 12)!

🕢 Time: 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM
🎟 No fishing license required
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Open to all veterans and their family members

We’ll have drinks and snacks provided, so just bring yourself and enjoy the day out by the water!

We hope to see you there—come connect, unwind, and make some great memories! 🎣

***The Group Fishing Permit will only cover Veterans and their families. Everyone else must possess a valid fishing license to fish. ***
