As we move so much closer to our Grand opening,we were humbled to receive this work from the Mayor Chris Beauchamp and his team of volunteers to bring us in to compliance with our dumpster placement. Ok today is the last day this week for non profits to get socks. Thank you to the 12 agencies that showed up when they said they would and I’m sorry for the 3 that didn’t have the courtesy to let me know they wouldn’t be coming. My time is as valuable as yours . If you are a legitimate 501c3 and would like 200 pairs of Bombas socks to distribute to your clients/ folks /friends please dm and we can arrange a pickup time / day.

Bryant University for their Day of Service. And then the big yellow school bus drops off 1/2 the kids at New Beginnings and the old adage is true. Many hands make light work. We are so honored to be included as one of their non profits for the second year in a row.

This is what 7,000 pairs of socks looks like. All my 501 (c) 3 friends reach out. I will be donating 200 pairs to each nonprofit. In return I require a letter on letterhead stating you received 200 pairs of Bombas socks from New Beginnings and the date that you will pick them up should be on that letterhead as well as your tax ID number.

**** Please understand if you’re replying make sure of two things. 1. That you are able to pick them up in Woonsocket and 2. That you are a registered 501 C-3. Community coming together is what it’s about. What a privilege to interact with the youth of the city as well as share the load with the The Milagros Project , Pretty Cares Inc, and Woonsocket Police Department new recruits and Chief Oates. It was great to see the kids talking to the younger officers and asking questions while enjoying pizza and a bagged lunch. Teamwork makes the Dreamwork.

What a great fun weekend it has been. Friday I was honored to receive an award(donation) from the American Legion Dept of RI, surrounded by a group of first responders being honored and a little boy who saved his classmates life by performing the Heimlich maneuver on him when he was choking on an apple. I was humbled to be included in this great group as well as Pretty Cares Inc who was also the recipient of an award for the work we do. And today I had the distinct pleasure of having Jake and come pay a visit to Stanley Ave. No evilness was detected in the storage area but there was great interest in the basement. However they do not feel there is any malevolence just mischievous beings who mean no harm. They also feel like they have grown comfortable with just me being there that lately with the ramped up amount of work being down it might have ticked them off or confused them a bit. Will keep track of any more incidents. Even got Mr. Bahb out of the house Friday and Sunday.

We at New Beginnings are saddened to hear of the passing of one of our devoted volunteer’s wife. Henry Lambert lost his beloved wife “Connie” on Thursday May 28,2026.
Please keep Henry and his whole extended family in your prayers and thoughts.
