Join The Arc at Mill St. Draft Garden in Occoquan for a fun fall evening of community, conversation, and connection! Staff, families, sponsors, donors, and friends are all invited to relax, socialize, and enjoy great company at the first of our quarterly events designed to bring folks together!

We’re delighted to partner with the Purple Heart Foundation for an evening of friendship, appreciation, and community. As we come together the night before Veterans Day, we’ll recognize our veterans and thank them for their service while enjoying time with friends, old and new.

We’ll be gathering outdoors, with heaters to keep us cozy as we soak up the fall atmosphere. Bring a friend, wear your favorite fall layers, and get ready for an evening of laughter, conversation, and new connections!

We can’t wait to see you there!

To clarify, this is a company/community event hosted by The Arc, separate from our recreation program.

We’re turning up the music, lighting up the dance floor, and getting ready for a night of SPOOKTACULAR FUN, laughter, friendship, and memories that will last a lifetime!

THE BOLD AND THE BUGLESS HAS ARRIVED.

Friendships tested. College funds threatened. One chocolate-covered bug that could tear the REC team APART.

Emily says she’s not eating it. Joy says the ’80s prepared her for anything. Rashawn has hired a breaking-news team… himself.

Watch our dramatic short film below, then help write the ending! Bring individually wrapped candy to The Arc’s Halloween Dance on October 24 and put it in TEAM RASHAWN’S bucket. All candy supports our Trunk or Treat!

And the drama won’t end with the credits… we’ll be going LIVE on Facebook for the bug-eating showdown! Whoever collects the least candy takes the bite—and I’m counting on YOU to make sure that’s Joy or Emily!

REC FAM,

Joy, Emily, and I are competing to collect the most candy—and whoever collects the LEAST has to eat a chocolate-covered BUG!

We used to do a pie in the face. Apparently, whipped cream wasn’t traumatizing enough.

Bring a bag of individually wrapped candy to The Arc’s Halloween Dance on October 24 and drop it in TEAM RASHAWN’S bucket!

All donated candy supports The Arc’s Trunk or Treat, so every bag brings smiles to our community—and gives my stomach a fighting chance!

What a picture perfect day for apple picking and pumpkin patch shenanigans!

Rashawn really took advantage of his surroundings and rode a trike AND a horse :). He was clearly made for farm life.

There's no better way to welcome in chilly nights than with a warm campfire, gooey s'mores, and spooky tales. We had a blast celebrating the onset of spooky season with so many friends!
