Woodbridge Rotary Club Learns About Alzheimer’s and Brain Health
Today, the Woodbridge Rotary Club was honored to welcome Ms. Sidonia Cannon, Manager of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, with the Alzheimer’s Association National Capital Area Office.
Ms. Cannon delivered an informative and impactful presentation on Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other brain-related disorders, helping our members better understand the challenges faced by millions of individuals and families affected by these conditions. She also shared valuable information about ongoing research, available support services, and the importance of community involvement in the fight against Alzheimer’s.
Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia impact not only those diagnosed but also their caregivers, loved ones, and entire communities. Education, awareness, and research are critical to advancing treatments and ultimately finding a cure.
The Woodbridge Rotary Club proudly supports the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and encourages everyone in our community to get involved. Whether through participation, volunteering, fundraising, or simply spreading awareness, each of us can play a role in helping advance research and support those affected by this devastating disease.
Together, we can bring hope to families, support groundbreaking research, and move closer to a world without Alzheimer’s.
Thank you, Ms. Cannon, for your dedication to this important cause and for sharing your expertise with our club today.
