📚 Chinn Park Regional Library will be closed November 26th for renovations and reopen sometime during the summer of 2026 .

📚 Effective with the closure, the “Friends of Chinn Park Regional Library” will not be accepting donations of any kind, nor have any bookshop presence in the front entryway.

📚 As of this time, no used book sales have been scheduled for 2026.

📚 Once we get a firm reopening date for the summer of 2026 we will be able to plan future book sales and will notify you via email and on this site of those upcoming sales.

📚 We truly appreciate and thank you for your support in 2025 and wish everyone a very happy holiday season!

📚 Our Winter Book Sale starts in a few days! Just a few reminders:

⏰ Dates and Times

📚 Wednesday, Jan 22nd is Members Night, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm (check-in begins at 4:00 pm).

📚Thursday, Jan 23rd is our Public Sale from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm

📚Friday, Jan 24th is our Public Sale from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm

📚Saturday, Jan 25th is our $2 Bag Sale from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm

🍎 Teachers receive 20% off on all sales days (except Saturday).

💰 Note: We are now accepting credit cards ($5 minimum purchase).

Members Only Night
All members will be allowed to take one paper, cloth, or plastic bag no larger than approximately 16 inches high, 15 inches long and 9 inches wide into the Community Room and Specials area at any one time. Remember that boxes are not allowed in these areas.

Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are needed to help setup for the event (starting on Tuesday, Jan 21st at 3:00 pm), to assist during the sale, and to clean up after the sale (Saturday, Jan 25th, starting at 2:30 pm).

Thanks to all who have already signed up to volunteer. If this is your first time volunteering, please ask for Carol or Toni when you arrive.

Proceeds from the book sale are used to support the various programs offered by the library. Looking forward to seeing you at the book sale!

📚 Hi everyone!

We are in need of gently used book donations for our used book sales.

Our quarterly used book sales are so very important to the health of our library as the proceeds of these sales are given directly back to Chinn Park Library and fund so many of your community and kids programs!

If you can find a few minutes to clean out your bookshelves and bring those donations to Chinn Park Regional Library we would be so very grateful!

And don’t forget these donations are tax deductible - you can get a form when you drop them off. If you have a large donation, please send us a message on here and we will arrange for someone to meet you at the library. Or is that good?

Just take your books to the circulation desk and they will tell you where to drop off and give you your tax donation form!!

🎁 Beginning, Saturday, November 2nd, the Chinn Park Friends will be holding a holiday sale in the lobby of the library!

🎄 All holiday themed items including adult and children books, DVDs, CDs, puzzles and a few LPs and audiobooks, will be in front of the shop and in the hallway.
All non-holiday related items will be in the book shop.

🎄 The holiday sale includes items in the “Treasures from the Attic” located in the glass display cases. These will include both holiday-themed items as well as others that will make unique gifts for your family and friends.

🎄 NOTE: We are starting our holiday sale earlier this year since Chinn Park Library will be closed for renovations from Monday, November 18-Sunday, December 8, 2024. If there is any change in these dates, we will keep you updated.

🎄 This is an ongoing sale and is accessible any time the library is open. We offer three different payment methods:
1. Cash: Place cash in boxes located inside the shop or library lobby.
2. Checks: Make checks payable to FOCPRL. (Please include your phone number on the check.) Place check in boxes located inside the shop or library lobby.
3. Credit Card: Instructions for credit card payments are located by the cash boxes.

🎁 Supplies are limited so shop early. The sale will continue until all items are gone.

💵 As with all our activities, all funds go to support the library's programs and other needs.

📚 Hello Chinn Park library supporters!

We appreciate your constant donations of used books, but now we are really in need of used children’s books.

It’s just about spring cleaning time, so if anyone has children’s books sitting around in a box or a closet, we would love to have them for our next book sale.

And, don’t forget you can get a tax donation form for donating!

Please share this post with your friends or reach out to anybody who might have some children’s books that they no longer need.

You can drop off books anytime the library is open at the circulation desk and they will give you a tax donation form.

And if you have a large donation, just reach out to us and we will make arrangements to meet you at the library to help unload the books. 📚
