Ever wonder what Pibbles4Hope does when we DON’T have outreach? 🐾

Well… there is NO downtime! 😂

Our volunteers all have full-time jobs and busy lives, but somehow our “free time” turns into:

🐾 Begging, picking up & sorting donations
🐾 Helping pet owners & working on cases
🐾 Washing and cleaning donated items
🐾 Checking, rotating & packing supplies for the next outreach
🐾 Trying to fix our chairs & tables because apparently they’ve decided they’re done with us. 😢😂
🐾 Maintaining our 10+ year-old outreach truck 🚚❤️ (Don’t let her pretty looks fool you!)
🐾 Visiting the shelter, making posts, working on brochures & all the behind-the-scenes stuff nobody sees.

And yes… there’s also lifting bags of pet food over and over again. We’re getting older, so apparently that part takes a little longer now. 🤣😂

Today was a packing day, and we spent HOURS getting everything organized and ready for our next outreach. ❤️

We couldn’t do what we do without our amazing supporters!

Athena is a stunning 3–5-year-old girl who was found as a stray, but somehow she has never let whatever happened in her past steal her love for people. She greets everyone she meets with the sweetest, happiest smile and is always ready to make a new friend. 🥹🐶

She is playful, enthusiastic, affectionate, and full of hope. ❤️ She’s basically a blank canvas just waiting for someone to show her what it means to finally have a family of her own.

Our last outreach program was once again a pretty warm one ☀️🥵, but it was also incredibly successful—and that is ALL because of the amazing support we continue to receive from our community! ❤️🐾

We even had a couple of special pups come out to visit us! 🐶❤️

🐾 Lola stopped by with her mom, who took advantage of Anicira Veterinary Center of Manassas spay/neuter program. 👏❤️ We LOVE seeing families take advantage of affordable resources to keep their pets healthy!

And then we had a very special visit that brought some mixed emotions. 💔😢 You may remember Lola, the sweet girl we recently assisted with medical needs who sadly crossed the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈🐾 Her sister came out to see us and shared the BEST news—she received a clean bill of health! ❤️❤️ What a beautiful little bright spot after such a heartbreaking loss.

We also had the wonderful staff from VCA Woodbridge Animal Hospital stop by and drop off donations for our outreach program! ❤️❤️ Thank you so much for thinking of us and helping us continue our mission!

Every bag of food, every supply, every donation, every volunteer, and every person who shares our posts makes a difference. We truly could not do this without YOU. ❤️🐾

Well, we have a little secret… 🤫❤️

We have been eyeing and stalking a certain dog at Prince William County Animal Services Bureau, and of course, we had to go back today to visit him (and several others) for a few hours. 🐾

Meet Doug — a BIG, handsome Mastiff whose size we’re sure has intimidated many people. But we fell in love with him the very first time we met him. ❤️

Today, while checking in on our other sponsored pups — CONGRATULATIONS Blanca and Zinnia on your adoptions! 🎉❤️ — we decided to sponsor several more pups, including our handsome Doug.

And then… as we were roaming the kennels, an AMAZING family came in for their second meet-and-greet with Doug.

AND THEY MADE IT OFFICIAL! 🥹❤️

DOUG IS ADOPTED!!! 🎉🎉🎉

Congratulations to sweet Doug and his amazing new family! We couldn’t be happier for this big boy. His forever family saw past his size and saw the wonderful dog we knew was waiting for someone special. ❤️🐾

But we’re not done yet! 😉
