greeNest will be closed today and will reopen tomorrow 6/20 at 9:00 am.

On this Juneteenth, we pause to honor the long road to freedom β€” and the resilience, strength, and community that have carried so many through. πŸ’š

At greeNest, we believe that home is more than four walls. It is dignity. It is safety. It is a place to belong. Today we celebrate that spirit and recommit to walking alongside every family working to build a new beginning.

Wishing our Winston-Salem community a meaningful and joyful Juneteenth. πŸ’š

β€œI truly appreciate this life-changing experience. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Words cannot describe how much this has blessed me and my family."

Maurice, referred through Goodwill's Veterans Program, shared these heartfelt words after visiting greeNest and furnishing his home.

Because of generous donors and volunteers, veterans like Maurice can find the comfort, dignity, and a home to call their own.

When Jasmine's family lost their home to a fire, they lost nearly everything. But through the grace of this community, they found their way back. πŸ’š

Referred by Augsburg Lutheran Church, Jasmine came to greeNest and found the pieces to start over. Her children now have their own beds through our Up Off the Floor program β€” and with everything she found during her appointment, she created a beautiful new home for her family.

Thank you, Augsburg Lutheran Church, for connecting Jasmine with us β€” and thank you to every donor, volunteer, and supporter who makes sure families like hers don't have to start over alone. πŸ’š

A kitchen table is more than furniture β€” it's where a family gathers and memories created.

Danasha can't wait to prepare and share meals with her family around her new dining set. Her kids picked out their own beds, bedding, and books, turning a bare space into special rooms of their own.

Mike came to greeNest referred by Insight Human Services, and left with more than he ever expected. πŸ’š

Stretching a budget is stressful β€” but Mike was amazed by how far his dollars went, allowing him to fill his new home with quality furnishings he couldn't have found anywhere else at that price. That's the greeNest difference.

It's only possible because of donors like you. When you give gently used, quality pieces to our Finally Home program, you're not just clearing out a room β€” you're helping someone like Mike build one. Thank you for making that possible. πŸ’š

Brian came to greeNest last month ready for a fresh start β€” and by the end of his shopping appointment, he was a natural, pulling together furniture and decor like he'd been doing it for years. πŸ’š

That kind of confidence doesn't just happen. It grows in a space where volunteers show up with patience, care, and a genuine desire to make every client feel seen. Thank you to our amazing volunteers for making each appointment feel personal β€” and for turning a shopping trip into something truly meaningful.

(We also can't help but notice Brian's excellent taste in throw pillows. πŸ±πŸ’š)

It was our absolute honor to welcome Ed to shop at greeNest. πŸ’š
Referred to us by Veterans Helping Veterans, Ed came to greeNest with excitement and hope as he settles into his new home. After serving our country, he deserves every comfort β€” and we are so grateful we could play a small part in his journey toward stability and home. Welcome home, Ed. πŸ’š

There is something extra special about a mama getting ready to welcome her baby home. πŸ’š

When Jasmyn visited greeNest, she was on a mission to make her new place perfect for her growing family. She found comfortable, stylish furnishings that felt just right, and left ready to begin the next beautiful chapter of her life.
We could not be more excited for her.

Drop a πŸ’š in the comments to wish Jasmyn all the best as she settles into her new home and prepares to welcome her little one. She deserves every bit of encouragement and joy this community has to offer.

That is what greeNest is all about β€” neighbors helping neighbors build homes filled with love, comfort, and hope.
