Here’s what’s expected…and what’s not normal when taking the abortion pill.

- Normal: Cramping, bleeding heavier than a period, possible clots, passing tissue, heavy emotions.

- Contact a medical provider immediately for: heavy bleeding that soaks more than two pads an hour for two hours, fever over 100.4°F, or severe pain that doesn't ease with medication. These can signal an incomplete process or infection that needs care.
