We are getting low on boys comforters once again.

It's a blessing in disguise, because it means we've been able to deliver lots of bed to boys across the triad.

But to continue what we do we need your help. If you are able, we could really use some new twin sized boys comforters. To drop these off or send them directly to us please reach out to use via email or phone!

Whether you're new here or have been with us from the beginning we want to tell you a bit about ourselves!! 👋

A Bed and A Book was started 6 years ago by our Founder/CEO, Anneliese Wall, when she identified 3 children who were sleeping on the floor, with no beds of their own.

💭✨️Ever since then we have been delivering dream beds to children all across NC and even some out of state!!

We now have 3 employees and even more amazing dedicated volunteers who help us deliver all these beds.

Last year we hit our 1000th bed goal 🎯 And we have now delivered over 1000 dream beds!!

We are so blessed and grateful for the dedicated donors, volunteers, and other members of the community who make these dreams come true for all children we serve 🫶🏼

Special thanks to the Clemmons Rotary Club and some fellow staff members at Clemmons Elementary for delivering beds to two families! 🛏🛌

This group was also part of our large bed build back in February. They were so moved they just had to witness a delivery first hand.

We're so glad they got to experience the joy of delivering dream beds. And getting to see the difference they make when they volunteer with us.

This past Thursday, Wake Forest Business School hosted and sponsored a bed build and it was incredible.

Together, Dr. Douglas Johnson and his Calloway Leadership Experience students helped raise just over $10,000 for A Bed and A Book. Along with the Allegacy Center for Leadership and Character, they built 24 beds

We are so grateful for this continued partnership and the heart behind everyone who showed up ready to serve. It was a powerful reminder of what happens when leadership and compassion come together.

We’re already looking forward to doing it again this fall!

Know the ABCDs of safe baby sleep

A is for alone. Put the baby to sleep alone in their crib. No blankets, toys, or crib bumpers in the crib with the baby.
B is for back. Place the baby on their back to sleep.
C is for crib. Use a safe sleep surface. Firm, flat surface. No surfaces that are angled or inclined.
D is for don't share a bed with the baby. Share a room with the baby instead.

When a baby shares a sleep surface with an adult or other child/children it increases the risk for SIDS and sleep related death. Many people think they will be able to hear or sense SIDS before it happens. But unfortunately, SIDS is not associated with sounds or movement. And it is the leading cause of injury death in infancy.
