The Factory Works Photo Lab is a traditional black & white film photography lab that provides classes, workshops, seminars, mentoring programs, and open lab hours for photographers of all skill levels, 13 years old and up. Photo Lab programming is structured to encourage the appreciation, creation, and experience of the art of photography. For more info, please contact the Manager, Brian Spies [email protected]

The Williamsport Community Woodshop provides access to a fully equipped woodworking facility through membership and/or classes in all woodworking to help build both member and non-member adults. For more info, please contact the Manager, Paul Derr: [email protected]

Williamsport Bicycle Recycle is a community bike shop that aims to empower people through bicycling. The freedom to go places under your own power, improving your health by getting out outside and exercising, and building your confidence by knowing how to fix your bike when something goes wrong can be transforming. People can bring in their bikes and learn to repair them with the help of our mechanics. If you don’t have a bike, you can rebuild one of our donated bikes. Bicycle Recycle holds classes and community bike rides, facilitates art projects using recycled parts and sells refurbished bicycles at an affordable cost. We accept donations of repairable bikes, bike parts, and bike repair tools. For more info, contact the Managers, Louisa & David Stone: [email protected]. The Clay Studio is a place for both semi-skilled and skilled clay artists to explore the clay medium through classes, membership, and workshops. The Williamsport Community Woodshop is a busy place.

Keeping the shop clean, safe, and ready for great work

Today, we tackled dust collector maintenance in the Woodshop so our members can keep enjoying a workspace that works as hard as they do. Regular upkeep like this helps us maintain a cleaner, safer, and more efficient shop for everyone.

A big thank-you to everyone who helps care for our shared space. It takes a community to keep the Woodshop running strong!

This class will fill up quickly. It is a great class to learn the fundamentals of woodworking plus you end up with a lovely cutting board. Sign up online on our Factory Works Website under Workshops.

We have three openings left for our upcoming cutting board class! 🪵

Join Betsy over two evenings — March 16 & 17 — to make your very own custom cutting board!

Night 1: Design your board using wood of your choice, then mill the lumber and glue up the pieces.
Night 2: Mill the board to final dimensions, add edge treatments at the router table, and sand before applying finish.

This is a great way to explore woodworking and walk away with a beautiful, functional cutting board you’ll use for years to come. No prior woodworking experience required; must be 18 years old.
