Dani is the entrepreneur behind Dani’s Homemade Bath & Body 🫧🛁🧼. You can find her at the Wichita Farm and Art Markets!

While Dani works tirelessly as a self-employed business owner, affording health insurance is difficult when profit margins are small.

Dani provides hygiene items to keep you clean and healthy, and Project Access was there for Dani when she needed thyroid surgery and medication. Without the help of a donating doctor, Dani would be unable to continue to do what she enjoys. Next time you are at the Farm and Art Market, check out her products as she puts a lot of love and care into her craft and she knows there are others out there who have put love and care into her.

The Summer Food program starts tomorrow! Free breakfasts and lunches will be offered to all children 18 years old and younger at 33 locations as part of our Summer Food Program, which runs through Friday, July 24. Learn more at usd259.org/summerfood

Happy Graduation Season 🎓 Today we want to highlight a Project Access Graduate! Gabe, age 43, got the help he needed through Project Access which enabled him to get a job with insurance! He is forever grateful for his donating endocrinologist, dermatologist, cardiologist, and ophthalmologist who took the time to address his care.

Stories like Gabe’s are the reason this program is here! Project Access is so happy for you Gabe! 🎉

MSSC member Gebran Khneizer with Kansas Gastroenterology was honored recently as one of the Wichita Business Journal 40 Under 40 Awards honorees. In his profile he mentioned Project Access as one of the ways he is involved in the community. Project Access is an MSSC initiative connecting people in need of healthcare with those who provide it. MSSC is grateful to all the physicians, hospital systems, dentists, pharmacists and allied health professionals who donate care to our community.

At 54, Joey has spent years doing tile work 🧰, where every piece has a story to tell. Living with COPD hasn’t slowed his appreciation for life’s simple joys 🫁. Thanks to the care and support of his pulmonologist, along with the breathing exercises he was taught, Joey is now able to enjoy daily walks with his wife again!

A staff member’s friends donated their gently used handbags, totes, backpacks, wallets and coin purses for our patients to do some Retail Therapy as Mother’s Day approaches. 🛍👜

As you can see from the smile on Stacey’s face, her new bag will be treasured! Kindness comes in many forms and this is a small example of helping others feel good!

Project Access is fortunate to have the leadership of many amazing individuals on our board. Today we would like to feature one of those amazing individuals.

"My name is Deborah Donaldson and I retired from Sedgwick County where I was a Division Director responsible for COMCARE Mental Health, the Community Developmental Disability Organization and the Department on Aging. I have been aware of Project Access since its inception and the important gap in our healthcare system it fills. I’ve been proud to be on the board and a part of continuing to support the critical work that makes our community a healthier place to live. I’ve always had a passion for helping individuals most in need to give them an opportunity to have a productive and fulfilling life."
