Several Wichita museums are participants in the Blue Star Museum program, which offers free admission to active-duty military personnel and their families as a way to honor their service.

The program runs through Labor Day and includes Exploration Place, Kansas Aviation Museum, Old Cowtown Museum, Wichita Art Museum, Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum, Botanica and Mid-America All-Indian Museum.
