As part of the initiative, Chad will join a state team working to strengthen knowledge, engage key partners and people with lived experience, and develop strategies that can make a meaningful difference here in Kansas.

Looking back at the first-ever Kansas Urban Native Health Summit!

What started as a vision to strengthen connections across Kansas brought together 104 attendees, 75 organizations, 9 speakers and community leaders, and 16 informational booths—all centered on Native health, community, culture, and connection.

But the numbers only tell part of the story.

At the heart of the summit was a powerful reminder: health is rooted in connection—to culture, family, elders, youth, community, and one another.

Participants also shared priorities for partnership, workforce development, culturally responsive care, data sovereignty, and community-led solutions.

📊 Check out the informational graphics to learn more about the summit, the people who made it possible, and the priorities that emerged from the conversations.

What started as a first is becoming a foundation for what comes next. As we look toward 2027, we carry that vision forward: Seen. Heard. Valued. Supported.

We’re excited to keep building, connecting, and growing together.

👀 We spy CEI Prevention Initiatives out in the community!

Our team was on the scene at HOPE Fest 2026 this past Saturday, sharing hope, resources, and connection with our community.

A special shoutout to Dr. Joshua Villa for sharing about the amazing work happening through CEI and giving attendees an opportunity to reflect on a simple but powerful question:

💙 What gives YOU hope?

We’re proud to see our team showing up, building connections, and helping create spaces where conversations about hope, healing, wellness, and recovery can happen.

Way to represent Prevention Initiatives! ⚡️

Thank you to the hosts of the event for having us!

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

25 years later, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the heroes who ran toward danger, and the spirit of unity that brought our country together.
