It's an exciting time of year as our Route 5/6 elections are open! Yes, you read it right – ALL POSITIONS ARE OPEN.

Nominations are due at the October General meeting. In order to nominate yourself you must be a paying member, and have attended at least 2 general meetings prior by November 20th. If you were unable to meet this requirement due to PCS, TDYs, etc. please let us know when submitting.

Who: All E5 & E6, including SSgt Selects!

Executive council will be elected at the November General Meeting:

Date & Time: November 20, 2024, 11:00 – 12:00

Location: Sunflower room (Across from library), Dole Center

Election Process: To run for an elected position, follow these steps:

1. Submit an Official Biography

2. Include a Letter of Intent with sections for a short Introduction and a statement explaining why you should be selected for the job.

Elected Positions that require votes from active members:

President

Vice President

Secretary

Deputy Secretary

Treasurer

Deputy Treasurer

Open Appointed Positions: To run for an appointed position, follow the same process as above.

Recognition Committee

Fundraising Committee

Airman Advisors

Innovation Committee

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

Can I run for an elected position if I'm a SrA with a line number? Yes.

Can McConnell Guard and Reservists run for positions? Yes, all eligible members from tenant units can run and be part of Route 5/6.

Can I run for an elected position if I haven't attended a meeting? No, but if you have dedication and interest, you can submit for an appointed position.

I attended a meeting last December 2023. Does that count? Yes, if you attended at least 2 meetings from December 2023 until now (October 2024), you are eligible.

Do I have to come to the meeting today to run? No, just make sure to meet the eligibility requirements and submit your Letter of Intent no later than November 4, 2024

I have attended more than enough meetings and paid two years ago, am I still an active member? Yes, but no, you must pay the $20 dues ANNUALLY to maintain your active membership.

Can I pay for my membership later? Yes, but make sure to pay by November 4. If you submit a Letter of Intent but haven't attended a meeting or paid your dues, please explain in your letter. We will review your package, but active eligible members will have priority.

When will voting start? It will take place 6 - 13 November once all submission ae received. Reminder email will be sent out with a link to the Letter of Intents for them to review!

Where do I pay my $20 membership dues? You can pay in cash to our Treasurer or use CashApp to $McConnellRoute56.

Where do I submit my Letter of Intent? Please send it to [email protected].
