As the number of living Holocaust survivors grows smaller, preserving and sharing their stories becomes more important than ever.

This October, we invite our community to experience Survivors Among Us: Stories From Our Community, a powerful exhibit honoring from and preserving their stories for future generations.

Through personal narratives, special programs, and community conversations, we remember the horrors they endured, honor the lives they rebuilt, and reaffirm our responsibility to ensure their stories are never forgotten.

WJCS is proud to partner with the Scarsdale Public Library and Friends of the Library to bring this meaningful exhibit to our community. Join us for any or all of the upcoming events.

🕯️ Exhibit on view through October 31

🎉 A record number of new employees joined WJCS at this month’s New Employee Orientation.

As our organization continues to grow, we’re excited to welcome talented professionals who are committed to strengthening the health and well-being of our community.

Orientation is more than an introduction to our programs and services. It’s an opportunity to build meaningful connections from day one. Through an activity inspired by the philosophy of Ubuntu (“I am because we are”), our newest team members explored shared experiences and began building relationships that reflect WJCS’s culture of collaboration, compassion, and care.

We believe our people are our greatest strength. When we invest in connection and belonging, we create an environment where both employees and the individuals we serve can thrive.

Interested in joining a team that’s making a difference for more than 20,000 Westchester residents each year? We invite you to meet us at our upcoming Job Fair and learn more about careers at WJCS.

As we mark the anniversary of October 7, we remember those who were lost, honor those who continue to heal, and stand with all those impacted by the trauma of that day.

At WJCS, our work reminds us that healing does not mean forgetting. It means finding hope alongside grief, connection alongside pain, and the strength to move forward. Today, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting our community’s well-being and creating spaces where healing, resilience, and hope can grow.
