Jacob Burns Film Center has always brought people together through the movies.

Now, as it celebrates 25 years in Pleasantville, it’s finding new ways to make moviegoing a shared experience for every generation — from kids earning a “First Movie” certificate to young adults meeting at Next Gen Kickbacks and longtime film lovers digging deeper through Cinema Studies.

A rainy forecast may have shifted the date, but the celebration is still on. 🇪🇨

ArtsNews previews Día de la Cultura Ecuatoriana, taking place August 23 at Barnhart Park in Sleepy Hollow. The event will bring together traditional dance, music, food, storytelling, art, workshops and the creation of a six-foot chakana (Andean Cross).
