We have big news! ArtsWestchester is thrilled to have been selected as a partner for the CHARM initiative launched by Governor Kathy Hochul, which allows us to bring four new murals by area artists to public spaces across Westchester and Rockland Counties!

CHARM (Cultivating Havens for the Arts through Regional Murals) is a statewide initiative administered by the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) to transform public spaces into vibrant cultural landmarks through art.

And the transformations are already underway! The murals are going up just in time for New York State's Mural Week at these four locations:

📍 White Plains: 70 Church Street — Art by Victor Saint-Hilaire (VASH)
📍 Port Chester: 126 N. Main Street — Art by Ramiro Davaro-Comas
📍 Yonkers: Cross County Center — Art by Andrey Kravtsov (Key Detail)
📍 Haverstraw: 2 West Street — Art by Charles Clear

Stay tuned for behind-the-scenes looks at the murals as they take shape!

Made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) CHARM Initiative with support from the Office of the Governor.

Please join us for the opening reception of “World Builders,” an exhibition that asks what does smart technology overlook about the human experience?

The reception will take place on October 24 at 5pm in ArtsWestchester’s gallery (31 Mamaroneck Ave, White Plains)

“World Builders” brings together 15 artists who explore the expanding influence of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies on the body and human connection. Rather than treating technology as a distant force, they reveal it as something felt: a presence that touches, shapes and reimagines how we experience everyday life, both physically and emotionally.

Also on view: “Josué Morales Urbina | Pericón: A Cure for All Ailments,” the latest Janet Langsam Vault Project installation.

Exhibition dates: October 17- January 17.
