Thank you to everyone who joined the Westchester Children’s Association for our fourth annual Commissioners’ Conversation on Children.

This important discussion brought together community members, advocates, and Westchester County leaders to talk about the issues impacting children, youth, and families across our county and the work being done to address them.

A special thank you to County Executive Ken Jenkins, County Legislator Jewel Williams Johnson, and County Legislator Nancy E. Thank you to County Executive Ken Jenkins and all who joined WCA’s Annual Commissioners Conversation.

Meaningful collaboration across sectors is essential to building a stronger future for Westchester’s children and families.

When we invest in children and families, we invest in the future of Westchester County. County Executive Ken Jenkins joined County Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners at the Westchester Children's Association's Annual Commissioners Conversation to discuss how collaboration, innovation and early intervention can better support children and families across Westchester.

By bringing together leaders in health, planning, mental health, social services, probation, workforce development and youth services, Westchester continues to break down silos and work toward solutions that strengthen our communities and expand opportunities for every child. Special thanks to the Westchester Children’s Association for leading this important conversation.

📢 WCA Responds to New York's FY27 State Budget

New York's FY27 State Budget includes meaningful investments in childcare and family supports, reflecting a continued commitment to children and families. However, many of the challenges facing families, including child poverty, barriers to mental health care, childcare accessibility, and the need for stronger prevention and family support services, remain unresolved.

In our latest statement, WCA highlights both the progress made and the critical investments still needed to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.

WCA remains committed to advancing policies that ensure every child in New York is healthy, safe, and able to thrive.

🗳️ It’s Election Day across many school districts in Westchester County.

Today’s school budget votes and board elections help decide funding, programs, resources, and leadership for local schools — making this an important day for students, families, and communities.

At WCA, we encourage everyone eligible to get out and vote today, May 19, and help shape the future of our schools and children.

Every voice matters. Every vote counts. 💙
