Troop 36 scouts had an incredible weekend at Camp Workcoeman for the Connecticut Rivers Council’s Semiquincentennial Camporee, celebrating 250 years of American independence! Scouts rotated through 12 skill-based stations in a Revolutionary War spy mission, met a George Washington historical interpreter, and capped the weekend with a campwide campfire and Scoutmaster cook-off featuring Washington’s favorite foods. What a memorable way to mark America’s 250th!

What a great day of service! Troop 36 scouts joined Sustainable Westport for their annual Mattress Recycling Drive, helping to recycle 24 mattresses and box springs and keeping them out of the landfill.

Each year, our scouts pick up mattresses from Westport residents who are unable to drop off at Earthplace. This year, as in years past, Troop 36 made up a significant share of the total mattresses collected at the event.

Thank you to everyone who signed up to volunteer and to Sustainable Westport for organizing this important program!

Troop 36's wreath sale is now open! Please consider supporting our troop by purchasing a beautiful holiday wreath. Our scouts help to decorate them with pine cones and a fancy bow.

Pre-orders will be accepted through Monday, December 1st via the link below. The sale (and pre-sale pickup) will take place on Sunday, December 7th from 11am-3pm outside Saugatuck Congregational Church. Money raised will help our troop cover costs of maintaining or replacing equipment and help with outing related expenditures. Happy Holidays!
