EAA Chapter 1682 of Westport is proud to introduce the start up of our aviation support of First Responders, Fire Fighters and Law Enforcement with a Fly-in or drive in event, “Friday’s Firehouse Franks” at the Westport Fire Station and Community Center. Starting February 24 at 4pm until we’re out of Franks. Come out, kick off the weekend and celebrate our real local Hero’s. Meet and greet, maybe get a airplane ride and help raise funds to support the First Responders Missions. When available, possible viewing of Fire Fighter equipment and personnel.

To accommodate other community meetings our Chapter 1682 monthly event for February has been moved to this coming Sunday afternoon, 19 February at Hangar #4 (the BillnTammy hangar, 4th from the south). Please feel free to stop by and watch the start of the Daytona 500 at 1:30, have some popcorn and plan events for this year to include Young Eagles Rallies, Kids Fly and Fish, Breakfast Fly-ins and other fund raising opportunities.

Welcome to EAA Chapter 1682 page. We are a group of aviation enthusiasts, aircraft builders/restorers and aviators who get together with like minded people to share ideas, exchange information, encourage safety, serve our aviation communities including first responders, fire fighters and law enforcement. The name of our game is fun with emphasis on introducing youth to aviation and aerospace through the Young Eagles program. Stand by for many future post of our Chapter activities, multitudes of aviation events of the many other organizations in our flying area and our own aviation history leading to the formation of our EAA Chapter 1682.
