We're now accepting applications ARToberFEST 2026
Summer is here and the livin' is easy ☀️🌻 but behind the scenes, we're busy, busy, busy organizing, planning, and looking ahead with anticipation and excitement to the arrival of autumn and ARToberFEST 2026!
Launched in 2017 as a small pop-up art and literature show in Old Town Hall downtown Westfield as part of Westfield PumpkinFest, ARToberFEST has grown into a major outdoor urban art festival in the Pioneer Valley, featuring artists and authors from around western MA and greater New England!
Featuring local and regional artists & authors, live music, street performers, food trucks and much more, ARToberFEST is our annual daylong outdoor urban art festival bringing creators and community together in the Downtown Westfield Cultural District to engage, inform, inspire, empower, educate, and entertain!

Leveraging the many public places and spaces in downtown Westfield along Elm Street including the Elm Street Plaza, three large city blocks of city sidewalks from Court Street to Arnold Street, the Church Street Pedestrian Walkway and the Westfield Athenaeum Esplanade, ARToberFEST is an expansive community experience that encourages visitors to explore all the art, literature, performances, shops, eateries, cafes, pubs and rich history of center city Westfield.
Whether you're a new, emerging, established or professional artist or author, we want to hear from you! We have capacity to host over 80 fine artists and fine artisans, and authors. This is a curated, juried show.

In the heart of the city in the Downtown Westfield Cultural District
📅Rain Date: Saturday October 3, 2026; 10am to 4pm
DETAILS:
✔Accepted media includes fine art painting, drawing, mixed media, collage, photography, sculpture, & printmaking. Also accepted are Artisan quality fine glass, wood, clay and metalwork.
✔Accepted literature includes original works in all literary genres.
All work must be original and created solely by the applicant. Please no work created by use of AI, a pattern, kit or factory mold, or by following a tutorial. Work featuring copyrighted characters is not considered original. We can't accept imports, factory-made items, or embellishments of per-assembled or manufactured items.
DISPLAY SPACE:
Display space varies from up to 10’ x 10’ outdoors at the Elm Street Plaza to smaller table small footprint locations on the sidewalks of downtown Westfield. Actual display space sizes will vary depending on the specific location along Elm Street. Exhibitors bring their own tents, tables, display panels, easels, chairs, and the like. Bring the display supplies and platforms necessary to showcase your work! Electric utilities are not available. Lots of free parking is available downtown.
