This month at Mis Fuertes Raices, our girls learned the importance of financial literacy through hands-on experiences. They practiced balancing a checkbook, filling out deposit slips, budgeting, saving money, understanding bills, and learning the difference between wants and needs.

The girls also became entrepreneurs for a day by selling handmade items, learning communication skills, earning money, and building confidence.

They proudly represented Mis Fuertes Raices during a fundraising event as we continue expanding to serve more Latina youth girls.

We wrapped up the month with a fun game of Monopoly Jr., where they learned about money management, decision-making, and unexpected expenses.

At Mis Fuertes Raices, we are building confident, responsible, and empowered future leaders.

Edwin from Mommy and Me Collections and Olivia from Liv Nu Accessories are hosting a special fundraiser to support Mis Fuertes Raíces, a Latina youth program dedicated to empowering and uplifting our youth.

They are currently looking for a sponsor to help cover a $50 venue rental fee so they can bring this vision to life.

Decorate Your Own Mirrors
Create Custom Makeup Brushes as a pair
$20 per pair space is limited

The girls of Mis Fuertes Raíces did an amazing job today! As we kick off Financial Literacy topic this month, we started with a hands-on project to introduce this important topic.
Today, they also had the opportunity to meet Mychal and Mychal Jr., Realistic CEO which made the experience even more inspiring and impactful. Stand Out Truck

Throughout the month, we’ll continue building on today’s experience by reflecting on what worked, what didn’t, and how we can grow. The girls will learn valuable skills such as saving money, understanding the importance of showing up and being responsible, and developing an entrepreneurial mindset.

We’ll also explore how to start and run a small business, along with practical ways to manage money wisely. We’re excited to watch them grow in confidence and knowledge as they build skills that will support their future success.
