A day in the life of an artist, Walk4Friendship edition! 💜

Megan woke up ready for Walk day: breakfast, coffee, the perfect bracelets from her own collection and, of course, Taylor Swift as her official Walk soundtrack. ✨

Then it was off to Walk4Friendship, where Megan walked for herself, for her fellow artists and friends with special needs, and for a community where everyone belongs.

We loved getting to experience Walk day through Megan’s eyes. 💜

At Soul Studio, artists from all walks of life have the space and support to create freely, develop their skills and build an artistic practice that is entirely their own.

Kate, one of our artist facilitators, gets to witness that growth firsthand. Every day, she sees artists gain confidence in their abilities, challenge themselves, try new techniques and keep pushing their work further.

Join us for a three-week beginner ceramics class and create your own set of nesting pomegranate trinket dishes!

You’ll learn hand-building and sculpting techniques using clay slabs, shape and refine each piece, then finish them with glazes in the colors of your choice. No ceramics experience needed!

Every bowl, mug, painting, print, and one-of-a-kind piece at Soul Studio was made by an artist who put their own ideas, hands, time, and personality into it.

And when someone chooses to take that piece home? It makes their day. Sometimes their whole month.

This time, Abigail takes us into Fiber Explorations, where artists are experimenting with different materials, textures, and techniques throughout the session.

One of those techniques is wet felting! Abigail walks us through the process while showing off a work in progress, layering wool fibers, adding water, and working everything together to create a colorful hanging piece.

It’s a process that takes a little water, a little patience, and a whole lot of hands-on creativity. 🧶

Every project in Fiber Explorations gives our artists a new way to play with texture, materials, and their own ideas, and we love getting to see those ideas take shape.

Some artists search for a signature style. Mary Rubenacker has something even rarer: a signature way of seeing.

Whether she's painting colorful memories with friends, shaping whimsical ceramic creatures, or transforming wool into butterflies, Mary's work begins with curiosity and ends in delight. Every medium becomes an invitation to explore, each one revealing another joyful perspective on the world around her.

Her art reminds us that wonder isn't reserved for extraordinary moments. It's found in a smile, a summer adventure, an unexpected creature, or a splash of vibrant color. This time, Brittany takes us behind the scenes of two of her workshops.

In Mixed Media, artists are creating striking portraits using unexpected materials like beads, mosaic pieces, and intricate paper quilling. Every artwork is full of texture, patience, and mesmerizing detail.

She also gives us a peek into Glass Painting, where vibrant colors and beautifully complex designs transform each piece into something that catches the light in the best way.
