An open art studio and gallery serving adults with special needs.

Soul Studio is an art studio for adults with special needs that responds to each participant's unique physical and cognitive conditions. Our goal is to encourage the creative growth of artists who attend Soul Studio by helping to shape individualized paths to success in the world through drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, photography, digital arts, weaving, and woodworking. Artwork made by Soul Studio artists is exhibited in our professionally-curated exhibition space, visited by hundreds of people every week.

Stephanie Harris lives la vie en rose. Literally.

Pink is the heart of her palette, and every other color shows up to keep it company: a flash of orange, a streak of turquoise, a deep plum.

Weaving and sculpture lead her practice, but she is truly a multidisciplinary artist. Her woven pieces grow thick with loops, plush yarns and fringe that spills past the edges. Her sculptures are playful and angular, funny and sometimes a little shocking. When she paints, she turns to floral motifs, gestural marks, memories and abstraction, layering color until it glows.

Her subjects come from what she loves most: Disney, flamingos, friends and travel. Her materials lean soft, with yarn you want to touch and edges left loose.

Stephanie makes art the way she meets people: warmly, and with a little sparkle.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening of BOLD! From the artwork on the walls to the conversations happening throughout the gallery, it was a beautiful celebration of creativity, individuality, and the courage to share your work with the world.
