The Respiratory Care Society of Washington’s Legislative Committee spent part of the week on Capitol Hill in Washington DC with the American Association for Respiratory Care advocating for the Supplemental Oxygen Access Reform (SOAR) Act (H.R. 2902 / S. 1406).
The SOAR Act seeks to improve access to supplemental oxygen for Medicare beneficiaries by modernizing policies that can create barriers to obtaining and maintaining needed oxygen equipment.
Our team was grateful for the opportunity to meet with Washington State’s congressional representatives, to share patient stories, and advocate for meaningful improvements to oxygen access.
