Wellsboro Glass Historical Association

Wellsboro Glass Historical Association WGHA seeks to build community pride and develop an understanding of Wellsboro's glass manufacturing. Looking to make a donation?

The WGHA seeks to build community pride and develop a deeper understanding of Wellsboro's important role in glass manufacturing. The goal of our group is to acquire, preserve, and present this history and its associated artifacts. The ultimate goal of the WGHA is to operate a museum which will house the 2 ribbon machines currently in storage, as well as all of the items that have been donated. Our

hope is to educate the general public about the important contributions Wellsboro, PA made to glass manufacturing history, and to encourage the next generation of innovators to consider their own creative potential. Please drop off or mail it to 114 Main Street!

It's five months until Christmas but you can haul out the holly, put up the tree, and celebrate Christmas in July with us THIS WEEKEND!!! Join us July 24th-26th for our 2nd annual Christmas in July event! Throughout the weekend, we will have a free Christmas craft activity plus holiday music and snacks for all who visit the museum during regular hours.

On Friday the museum will be open from 4:00-7:00pm and at 6:00pm WGHA members Tracey & Josh Fox will give a presentation on our Bicentennial Tree and discuss the historical shrink-wrap ornaments that adorn this unique display. This presentation is free though we certainly hope you will fill the tip jar for our amazing volunteers. 😉

On Saturday July 25th the museum will be open for our regular hours 10:00am to 4:00pm. Then at 6:00pm we'll kick off our Christmas in July Party at the museum. Tickets are $20 per person, or just $10 for WGHA Booster Members and their guests. Tickets include food, drinks, a chance at door prizes, music, and merriment!
