Wreaths Across America - Wellsboro Cemetery

We will be conducting wreath pick up for the Wreaths Across America wreaths next Friday at 3:00 pm at the Wellsboro Cemetery. Anyone is welcome to help, we also welcome people to collect wreaths ahead and pile them close to the driveways for our students to collect if you are walking around the cemetery this week and want to assist.

We are so grateful for a terrific ceremony yesterday. Thanks to all the community members that came out to volunteer to lay wreaths. Thanks also to all the supporters that helped to sponsor wreaths this year. We appreciate all of you in helping us to spread the mission to remember - honor - and teach about all of the tremendous sacrifices that our service members have made and continue to make today.

We are ONE week away from Wreaths Across America day at the Wellsboro Cemetery We have our final wreath count for this year, and due to some generous support from WAA, we are receiving 750 wreaths to lay this year. This is our largest year yet!

We would also like to thank Wellsboro Electric Company for their recent donation to help support this project.

We hope to see you Saturday December 13th at Noon, at the Wellsboro Cemetery to help us celebrate and remember our veterans.

Thanks to some generous donors lately for helping to support Wreaths Across America this year. We have had recent donations from the Wellsboro Lions Club, Wellsboro Moose, Pag-Omar Farms Market, and the Thin Line Tavern. These wreaths will be credited this year - but don't show on our wreath meter yet. We are close to 400 wreaths for the year.

Our FFA chapter is gearing up to create a great ceremony and we are still actively fundraising for wreaths this year.

We have 200 wreath sponsorships committed for this year so far. That is short of the 850 veterans in our cemetery. With two weeks still to receive sponsorships, we hope to grow that number and celebrate as many veterans as we can.
