📌UPDATE RE: E-BIKES ⚡️🔋🚲🚴: The focus is on rule of the road and riding etiquette, who has the right of way, etc.
While there will be some discussion on it, the focus is primarily on traditional bikes.

📌🚴 PEDIATRIC INJURY rates drop by 33% to 44% in areas where students undergo road safety and riding education.

🚴🪖 Proper helmet use drastically decreases the severity of accidents, reducing head injuries by up to 45%.

🌼🌼 Is there a way to fight invasive Garlic Mustard with a native plant? YES! Golden groundsel to the rescue!

🌼🌼 Is there a way to fight invasive Garlic Mustard with a native plant? YES!

Golden groundsel (Packera aurea) has been shown to not just 'hold its own' against Garlic Mustard, but to actually outcompete it in certain cases.

-Its flowers attract pollinators at a time when not much is out there for them
-Hosts 20 species of moths & butterflies
-Provides groundcover for fireflies
-Deer and rabbits don't like it
-Creates a moist habitat under the leaves ideal for turtles and toads
-Provides seeds for birds like goldfinches
-Does not seem to mind the soil changes that happen with Garlic Mustard AND creates a thick canopy that keeps out invasives
