Wellesley Global Medical Brigades

Wellesley Global Medical Brigades Medical Brigades at Wellesley College is a chapter of Global Brigades, the world's largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization.

The Wellesley College chapter systematically works with more than 300 other university groups around the world to deliver and implement one of nine skill-based programs that benefit more than 130,000 Honduran and Panamanian community members annually. Global Medical Brigades develops sustainable health initiatives and provides relief where there is limited access to healthcare. Each community rece

ives a brigade every 3 to 4 months where hundreds of patients are treated and volunteers deliver public health workshops. Electronic patient records are collected for future visitations and to monitor overall community health trends.

We had an absolutely incredible time serving communities in Nicaragua this past week. We are so thankful for all those who made the brigade possible!!

One of the many lessons reinforced during our time in Nicaragua was that serving others is not just a 9-day commitment – we need to apply our passion from the trip to serving at home and to our future service experiences. In keeping with this idea...

Are you passionate about service?

Are you feeling invigorated after traveling with Wellesley Global Brigades to Nicaragua in January 2017?

Did you enjoy serving during the Nicaragua brigade in January 2016?

Are you interested in getting involved with Global Brigades again?

Are you looking to become more active in an organization on campus?

Do you want to help organize and prepare for another international student trip during Winter Session 2018?

Are interested in non-profits, public health, pharmacy, medicine, and dentistry?

Consider applying to the Wellesley Global Brigades 2017 Executive Board!!
