ENERGY ALERT tomorrow 3-6pm
from Wellesley Municipal Light Plant (WMLP):
Make a plan

With the high temperatures (~95 degrees F) expected tomorrow afternoon, we would appreciate your help in reducing our system peak usage by minimizing the use of your air conditioner(s) and turning off electric vehicle (EV) chargers and other appliances (clothes dryers, dehumidifiers, pool pumps), especially between the hours of 3 PM and 6 PM. Turning up your thermostat by just a few degrees will go a long way towards reducing our energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions.

Each megawatt of electrical demand reduced during our region’s peak hour recorded each month and year saves the WMLP and its customers about $18,000 in transmission and capacity costs per month!!
