🧱💛 THANK YOU, LEGO SORTERS!

The Great Pigeon LEGO Sort has officially come to an end, and while we didn’t make it all the way to the bottom of that last tub, LOOK HOW FAR WE GOT!

Over the past few days, so many wonderful people stopped by Pigeon and gave us their time. Some stayed for hours. Some stopped in for a little while. Some came because they signed up, and plenty of folks just walked through the door and joined us.

And every single person made a difference.

We emptied three entire LEGO containers, sorted thousands and thousands of pieces, and made one enormous dent in a project that would have taken us forever to tackle on our own.

But one of my favorite parts had nothing to do with LEGO. I got to meet some really wonderful people, visit with old friends, laugh, talk, and spend a few days sitting around tables together doing something oddly satisfying. 😂 I sincerely hope some of the new faces we met this week become familiar faces around Pigeon.

To everybody who came and sorted five pieces, five handfuls, five buckets, or sat with us for hours: THANK YOU.

I appreciate your help more than I can possibly say. 💛

The tub isn’t empty yet, but it is a whole lot emptier because of y’all.

Many hands really do make light work. 🧱✨

And now… I think I need a brief period of time in which I do not look at a LEGO. 😂

🧱 LAST CALL, LEGO SORTERS!

Today is the FINAL DAY of The Great Pigeon LEGO Sort, and LOOK HOW FAR WE'VE COME. 👀✨

We've been sorting all week, and today we get one last shot at knocking out as much of this LEGO mountain as humanly possible.

We'll be here 11 AM–4 PM TODAY.

If you've been thinking, I meant to go help them with that LEGO, THIS IS YOUR DAY. 😂

Come give us 30 minutes. Give us an hour. Give us whatever you've got.

No experience needed. The categories are ready. The LEGO is waiting. And every handful that finds its proper home gets us closer to the organized LEGO library we've been working toward.

Two years after Hurricane Helene, we’re making a little room to simply be together.

No presentation. No agenda you need to follow. No story you have to tell.

Come sit. Eat something. Bring the kids. Talk if you want to. Listen if you’d rather. Take a grounding exercise with Rev. Shelby Miles, or talk with her one-on-one if that would be helpful.

Or just come spend a little time with people who understand.

🧱 Y’ALL. LOOK WHAT YOU DID.

So far, almost 20 people have stopped by to help with The Great Pigeon LEGO Sort, and because of all those helping hands, we now have THREE EMPTY LEGO CONTAINERS and this is what’s left to sort. 😭🙌🏾

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate everybody who has come through. Some folks have stayed a while, some have given us a little bit of time, and every bit of it has mattered.

This has also just been FUN. We’ve sorted a ridiculous amount of LEGO, laughed, talked, and I’ve gotten to meet some really great people who I hope we’ll see around Pigeon again. 💛

Tomorrow is our LAST DAY, so if you’ve been thinking about coming, COME ON BY! Seriously. Five minutes helps. Thirty minutes helps. An hour helps. You do not have to make a whole afternoon of it.

We have made an unbelievable dent in this thing, and now I want to see if we can send that last “TO BE SORTED” tub to its ancestors. 😂

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everybody who has already helped us get this far. 🧱❤️

🚨🧱 THE GREAT PIGEON LEGO SORT STARTS TUESDAY!

Four days.

100+ quarts.

One gloriously organized LEGO library.

And hopefully a whole bunch of people who derive an unreasonable amount of joy from putting tiny things into exactly the right categories. 😂

We're sorting Tuesday, September 22 through Friday, September 25, from 11 AM–4 PM each day.

Come for 30 minutes. Come for an hour. Come for an afternoon. Come every day if this is your particular brand of happiness.

No LEGO expertise needed. No organizational system to invent. We've already done that part. You just come in, learn the categories, and SORT.

Many hands make light work, and we are ready to knock this thing OUT.
