✅ Another successful Moby Dick House of Kabob meal distribution last night!
Thanks to Moby Dick's meal-matching campaign earlier this summer, we were able to serve delicious, freshly-prepared beef and chicken dinners to the 200 men at MCCH Nebel Street Emergency Shelter. We're so grateful for this partnership and the opportunity to see MCCH's work firsthand, supporting individuals to transition out of homelessness.

Thanks to Jon, Luke, and Julian for volunteering with us!

Back to school with Moby Dick House of Kabob 🧆
Moby Dick partnered with us for a meal round-up campaign over July 4 weekend which yielded 1000+ meals to donate! We teamed up with SevaTruck & Young Mens Service League to share the first half of this donation in Fairfax County, as a back-to-school treat for families with limited food access.

We'll be spreading the love to MD in the coming weeks, sharing another 500 meals 🥙

👉 Know a local restaurant that wants to support their neighbors? Tell 'em to reach out! We're always eager for opportunities to get more food to our Community Partners.

Getting that bread 🥖🥖🥖 Jenna & Kate just did a huge last-minute picking up rolls from Compliments Only Subs DC. The SUV was packed to the gills - Jenna had to take a whole bag on her lap!

Alexandria-based volunteer Deirdre MacNeil spotted Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger yesterday while doing a food rescue in Old Town! Deirdre proudly told the governor that she was bringing a food donation to Friends of Guest House to support returning citizens.

The couple that rescues food together stays together 🫶
Beth & Bob have been volunteering with us for over 8 years! In between their frequent travels, they make time to claim food rescues, table with us at events, and even harvest vegetables at community gardens to donate to shelters.
