DYK? Worldwide, an estimated 160 million children engage in .
Child labor in is among the worst forms of child labor, and Pact is dedicated to ending this in communities where we work.
In partnership with the U.S. Department of Labor, we recently launched the Madini Safi program in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Madini Safi, which means โFair Mineralsโ in Swahili, brings together Congolese communities, government, and industry to eliminate child and forced labor from cobalt, copper, and 3T supply chains in DRC and expand fair access to minerals for U.S. companies.
Pactโs approach to ending child labor is locally-led and built on two decades of experience in responsible mining. In partnership with those we serve, we have made progress in communities in Latin America, Africa, and Asia.
