This December, university leaders and senior education officials from Ukraine participated in an exchange to explore U.S. strategies for aligning educational programs with evolving labor market demands..

The program began in DC, where participants were welcomed by Robert Post, Director of the Office of International Visitors and U.S. Speaker Program, and received an introduction to the American education landscape.

Subsequent meetings in Cincinnati, Providence, and Boston focused on themes ranging from reskilling adults to industry-academia partnerships to experiential learning. By demonstrating American expertise on this topic and facilitating the sharing of best practices, this program supported recovery and stability in Ukraine’s education system and workforce.

Outside of meetings, participants learned about U.S. history and culture and braved the winter chill to explore the historic Breakers mansion ❄️

This July, we were honored to welcome visitors from 5 different continents and over 10 different religious groups to make up an impressive 30-person exchange with a focus on Promoting Religious Freedom. Visitors met with religious leaders and community members in DC, Detroit, Milwaukee, Manchester and Dallas to explore the role that faith can play in building community and fostering international cooperation.

One visitor wrote: β€œTogether, we explored the richness of freedom of religion and interfaith dialogue, and I leave with a heart full of gratitude. From pastors to rabbis, from imams to community leaders, each conversation has opened new doors of understanding. I have discovered cultures and sects of faith I never even knew existed, and each encounter has deepened my appreciation.”

Enjoy a quick flashback to May, when Botswanan Members of Parliament and staff joined an on "Promoting Economic Growth: Diversification and Public-Private Partnerships."

Highlights included an official luncheon with U.S. Ambassador to Botswana Howard A. Van Vranken and meetings at the U.S. Capitol to discuss regional trade and economic policy with Senate legislative staff, both pictured above.

Thanks to our partners in Columbia, SC The Columbia World Affairs Council and Boston, MA WorldBoston for helping to make the program a success!
