Serving all of Rhode Island we distribute toiletry necessities to our most vulnerable populations through our network of direct service agencies.

We’re incredibly grateful to the Alliance For Period Supplies , U by Kotex (US) , and the The National Diaper Bank Network (NDBN) for a recent donation of 10 pallets of overnight pads—112,000 pads in total!

To put that into perspective: based on our current distribution forecasts, 600 pads cover all of Amenity Aid’s partner organizations for one month (if they only order pads). That means this single donation represents approximately 15 years’ worth of pads for our network. If organizations continue ordering a mix of pads and tampons, this donation could stretch even further—up to 30 years of pad supply.

Access to period products should never be a barrier to health, dignity, or opportunity. Donations like this help ensure that our community partners can continue providing essential menstrual products to those who need them most.

Thank you to the Alliance for Period Supplies and the National Diaper Bank Network for helping us expand access to period supplies and end period poverty in Rhode Island.

Last month, Amenity Aid welcomed Sensata Technologies to our facility. 14 wonderful members of the Sensata team rolled up their sleeves and packaged 1,100 travel hygiene kits for those in need. A reintroduction to our new followers/friends! Amenity Aid is Rhode Island's only hygiene bank - operating like a food bank, but with hygiene products. We are on a mission to end hygiene insecurity in Rhode Island, but we can't do it alone. With your support, we can provide our Rhody neighbors with the basics they might otherwise go without - such as soap, toothbrushes, and deodorant. Our worst horror movies are a reality for many Rhode Islanders. This is not a “somewhere else” problem - this is happening right in our community! 38% of Rhode Islanders lack the resources to buy hygiene products. This is called hygiene insecurity. Amenity Aid is the only hygiene bank in Rhode Island, and we are making progress - but we can’t do it alone. We believe everyone should have access to hygiene essentials. These basic items - like soap, deodorant, toothbrushes, and period products - help us feel human. We're still celebrating a week of wins during Period Poverty Awareness Week! We went to the State House to see the resolution pass unanimously in the Senate Chamber 🙌, and then we hosted a packing palooza in our warehouse! 💪 Thank you to the teams from BankNewport , Beacon Mutual Insurance Company , and City Personnel, Inc. - Staffing and Recruiting Specialists that showed up, rolled up their sleeves, and helped us package period kits for Rhode Islanders in need! ❤️
