Every year, they bring the heat to the competitive side of Achieve-A-Bowl, and have the massive trophy to prove it! We’re so excited to share that Amica remains the defending Industry Challenge Champion in the insurance category.

We saw a lot of familiar faces on the lanes this year, and some new ones as well. Led by Tabitha Santos and Matt Cubellis, this incredible team brought their A-game and their families to the lanes to compete for multiple honors and a little bragging rights too!
Thanks to these 39 dedicated fundraisers and bowlers, Amica contributed over $16,000 to empower the youth in Rhode Island with JA programs.

We’re in awe of and so grateful for your support, partnership, and enthusiasm for Achieve-A-Bowl.

We believe every young person deserves the opportunity to discover their potential, build confidence, and prepare for a successful future. Through collaboration, innovation, and hands-on learning, we work alongside educators, volunteers, and communities to create experiences that inspire students to dream bigger and achieve more.

Together, we’re helping shape a generation that is prepared, empowered, and ready for what’s next.

Education leaders are sounding the alarm.

📊 91% say there’s a disconnect between K–12 education and future economic success.

Today’s students need more than academic knowledge alone.

They need:
✨ Real-world experiences
✨ Durable skills
✨ Career-connected learning
✨ Exposure to future-ready opportunities

At Junior Achievement, we’re helping bridge that gap so students can build choice-filled futures.

“JA Maritime is opening doors for Rhode Island students at a moment when our state’s maritime and advanced manufacturing sectors are growing and hungry for talent,” said Lee Lewis, president of Junior Achievement of Rhode Island. “By connecting students to real career pathways early and giving them hands-on experiences that make those pathways feel attainable, we’re helping build a future workforce that is prepared, inspired and rooted right here in our local communities.”

Let’s give a huge round of applause for Dimeo Construction, the 2026 Construction Industry Challenge Champion! 🎳🎉

Their passion and grit brought out an incredible 45 bowlers who came together ready to support JA classrooms, districts, and communities by fundraising and bowling together.

We’d like to especially thank Lori Corsi for continuing to advocate for JA in a big way, and Denise Helides for expanding this year’s event beyond the Dimeo office into their network and community. That’s what Achieve-A-Bowl and Industry Challenge is all about, working together to make an even greater impact.

Thank you to Dimeo for joining us again this year and continuing to make a difference in the lives of young people through Achieve-A-Bowl! 🌟

Junior Achievement is more than an educational resource, it’s a strategic partner for schools and communities.

By connecting classroom learning to real-world experiences, students are empowered to explore opportunities and envision their path forward.

What is RIEXL?

RIEXL.org is a website made to connect Rhode Island students with ways to learn about ‘the real world’ of having a job... *before* having to graduate!

How?

Rhode Island businesses want strong local talent, visibility, and to support their communities. RIEXL lets them upload opportunities (workplace tours, career speakers, mock interviews) to the site, and then educators can request those opportunities. The RIEXL team coordinates all the details so educators can focus on educating. It’s that easy!

RIEXL is powered by Junior Achievement of Rhode Island and funded by the Governor’s Workforce Board.

On Thursday, June 11th, 2026, we hosted our final full school JA in a Day at M. Virginia Cunningham Elementary School in Pawtucket. In total, 300 students from 15 classes learned from 14 volunteers who led hands-on activities in financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship that set students on the path to financial and career confidence.

Thank you to the amazing volunteers from Citizens, Fidelity Investments, and Santander Bank who took time out of their day to teach and mentor our students.

And of course, thank you to the teachers and administrators at the school for opening their doors to JA and our volunteers. We are so grateful to you and your continued partnership.

At Junior Achievement, we’re helping students build the mindset and skills they need to succeed, wherever their future leads.
